GENERAL RULES & GUIDELINES FOR ENTRIES: <\/strong><\/p>\n

1. All of the following Rules & Guidelines
\nmust be followed for successful submission.
\n2. An exhibitor may enter a total of 4 unique
\nitems. (see Rule #10) The same item may not be
\nduplicated in more than one department.
\n3. Claim tickets will be given when the items are
\nentered and must be presented to claim money
\nand entries. The owner of the item is the only
\none who can collect money. Parents will be
\nallowed to pick up money for the child.
\n4. All paintings and photos must be securely
\nframed with screw eyes and wire for hanging.
\nAll entries, therefore, must be completely dry,
\nframed, and hangable. Entries such as those to
\nbe hung with string, tape, and\/or glue will NOT
\nbe accepted.
\n5. Work must have been completed within the last
\nthree (3) years and not previously entered in
\nthe Washington County Fair. Entrants must
\nhave at least six (6) months of residency in the
\ncounty.
\n6. All articles must be the work of the exhibitor.
\nAny irregularity in the entry, or fraud by
\nmisrepresentation or otherwise detected
\nbefore or after the awards are made, shall
\ncause the forfeiture of the money, which will be
\nwithheld by the fair board.
\n7. 4-H members cannot enter articles in both
\nHome and Fine Arts Division and 4-H, as 4-H
\nis judged differently.
\n8. Entries must be the original work of the artist.
\nCopies and class-taught work can be on display
\nonly.<\/strong>
\n9. None of the following will be allowed in the
\nWashington County Fair: nudity, satanism,
\ncult\/gang-related items, or killing.
\n10. Artists may enter TWO (2) entries in each class(i.e.
\n2 Fine Arts Entries & 2 Literary Arts Entries)
\n11. Unless otherwise provided, articles can be
\nentered ONLY by the owner or producer. Any
\nattempt to perpetrate fraud by
\nmisrepresentation will bar the piece from
\ncompeting for any money. Department
\nsupervisors may remove from the grounds any
\nexhibit that is falsely entered or which may be
\ndeemed unsuitable, objectionable, or difficult
\nto display.
\n12. Entries must be picked up on Monday, April 21
\nbetween 9:00AM and 5:00PM in the Harmony
\nBuilding. Items left unclaimed will be taken to
\nthe Extension Office to be picked up by April 30.
\n13. Money may be redeemed at the money bank at
\nthe fair during the designated hours. Money
\nnot redeemed by Monday, April 21, at 5:00PM
\nmay be redeemed at the Washington County
\nTreasurer’s Office at 111 East Tabernacle, St.
\nGeorge. All money must be redeemed by May
\n30, 2025 or the money will be forfeited.
\nAbsolutely no entry may be reclaimed until
\nMonday, April 21, from 9:00AM to 5:00PM to
\navoid disrupting the spirit of the fair.

\nat the deadlines provided below. (Lockdown Status = Not Eligible) <\/p>\n

DEADLINE FOR FINE ARTS SUBMISSIONS IS APRIL 3, 2026 BY 4 PM<\/strong><\/p>\n

CLASS 2 \u2013 Graphics
\nLimit 2 per class
\nRULES & GUIDELINES
\n1. Items should be ready to exhibit.
\n2. All articles made as a set will be judged as such.
\n3. All entries MUST be framed with wire hangers
\n4. No multiple frames accepted. <\/p>\n

Sweepstakes: $20
\nReserve Sweepstakes: $15
\nBlue Ribbon: $10
\nRed Ribbon: $8
\nWhite Ribbon: $6 <\/p>\n

Items include: charcoals, pencil, etchings, lithographs, collage, ink<\/strong><\/p>\n

DEADLINE FOR LITERARY ART SUBMISSIONS IS MARCH 28, 2026 BY 4 P.M.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

All entries must meet the following requirements to be eligible for cash\/display:
\n\u2022 Appropriate taste for family and county fair (language, violence, sexuality)
\n\u2022 Must be your own work
\n\u2022 No resubmissions from previous years
\n\u2022 One entry for each class (Poetry; Prose)
\n\u2022 Length: <1,000 words \n\u2022 Spacing: Single \n\u2022 Font: Arial (12 pt) \nCategories You may enter one in each class: \n\u2022 Poetry \n\u2022 Prose \n \nThis year\u2019s theme is America: 250 Years <\/strong><\/p>\n

Entrants may write about the annual theme or
\nchoose their own topic.
\nEntries will be judged in the following divisions:
\n(age as of March 28, 2026) <\/p>\n

\u2022 Adolescent:13-19
\n\u2022 Adult (20+)
\no Amateur
\no Pro (history of published work) <\/p>\n
